Aura “Present” Scene: Artists and Their Places of Origin
在《木馬沉思錄:藝術理論文集》(Meditations on a Hobby Horse: And Other Essays on the Theory of Art)的開篇,便提出一個有趣的問題──小孩為什麼能在遊戲中將玩具木馬(hobby horse)視為是一匹真正的馬。作者提出,小孩其實是先通過認識事物的局部特徵,進而想像事物的全貌;粗糙的抽象概念卻引發令人驚奇的想像力。這篇文章最初寫於1951年,如今的AI卻以極其相似的概念生成圖像。AI將原圖不重要的細節拋棄,並將簡化後的概念與靠近的概念相連結;兩個相似的概念平滑地移動,從而進行圖像的創造。本次展覽《靈光「現」場:文藝家與他們的產地》希望呈現創作者們創造性的思考;藝術家陳昱榮、謝福音、國立中山大學「數位人文與AI藝術潛力國際研究群」以詩人余光中的著作為靈感,連結各自的創作脈絡,並轉化為藝術作品。三件作品間的聯繫,形成一個游移卻有結構性的感知地圖,提供我們一種閱讀藝術與文學新的體驗方式。
In the opening of Meditations on a Hobby Horse: And Other Essays on the Theory of Art, an intriguing question is posed—why can a child, in play, take a hobby horse to be a real horse? The author suggests that children first grasp the partial features of things and then imagine the whole; rough abstract concepts, paradoxically, spark remarkable imaginative power. Although the essay was first written in 1951, today’s AI generates images on strikingly similar principles. AI discards inessential details from the source image, links the simplified concept to adjacent concepts, and lets two similar concepts slide smoothly into one another in order to create images. The exhibition, Aura “Present” Scene: Artists and Their Places of Origin, aims to make visible the creators’ inventive thinking. The artists Yu-Jung Chen, Fu-Yin Hsieh, and International Research Cluster for Potentials in Digital Humanities and AI Arts (a collective of artists and researchers), inspired by the works of the poet Kwang-Chung Yu, connect them to their respective creative trajectories, and translate them into artworks. The links among the three bodies of work form a shifting yet structured map of perception, offering us a new way to experience art and literature.

縮時顯影:季節光影印象
Phos & Graphe: Seasonal Impressions
存在主義(Existentialism)肯認了所有個體生命的價值,每個季節對我們的意義是什麼?我們對「季節」一詞所衍生的聯想又為何?每個人對季節的偏好皆有所不同,但在億萬的不同裡,我們之於季節,又帶有集體潛意識的印象與情緒。不論春花秋月,或是夏蟬冬雪。於是人們攜著這份印象,在季節的光影流轉裡,一同變化心情,為之觸動。光是萬物生長的語言,季節是用時間輾成的花籤,而攝影,作為一種捕捉光的藝術,使記憶與當下的情感能夠以光的形式定格留存。至於詩,則是我們用來凝鍊幽微心緒的密碼,身為詩人的我們,選擇用詩拍下季節所帶來的感受。
本次展覽集合了南嶼詩社成員關於四季的情感書寫作為文本,藉由光影濃縮季節印象,呈現生活的輪轉,以及人在其中的情緒變動。因此我們將詩作按照四季順序分為四個展區:「複色光」、「光閘」、「菲林」、「失焦」。
